Downhole motor

Downhole motor is one kind of positive displacement downhole motor . Mud stream from the outlet of mud pump flows through a by-pass valve into the motor. This stream produces pressure loss at both inlet and outlet of the pump, to push the rotor into rotating, and to transmit the torque and speed onto the bit. The downhole motor property mainly depends upon its property parameters.
It is widely used in oil field and mine directional well and horizontal well, cluster Wells and vertical Wells, drilling, deflecting, adjusting azimuth, coring, reaming, side tracking and workover treatment, and also applied in some special operations as compound drilling and traversing, etc.
